Michelle Wie was one of those child fenom’s. She started playing golf at the young age of 4. By the time she was just 10 years old Michelle would already be qualifying for tournaments like the US Amateur Public Links Championship. When Wie was just 11 years old she won two great amateur tournaments including one of the most prestigious womens amateur events in Hawaii the Jennie K. Wilson Womens Invitational.

When Michelle turned 12 in 2002 she would again shock the golfing world by becoming the youngest player in golf history to qualify for a LPGA event. She would then become the youngest player ever to make an LPGA cut in 2003 at age 13. In June of 2003 Wie would win the Women’s Amateur Public Links Tourny becoming and became the youngest male or female to win an adult USGA event. Along with all of these record setting happenings Wie would also be the youngest player to make the cut at a US Womens Open in 2003.

Michelle Wie would finally turned pro although she was not allowed to be a member of any professional tour because of her age , not yet being 18. Wie not having an exemption would only be able to play in limited LPGA events in which she was given somekind of sponsor’s exemption until 2008. Wie would finally go to the LPGA Tours Qualifying Tourny in 2008 and placed 7th  granting her LPGA membership for the 2009 LPGA season. Wie would even make appearences on the PGA Tour playing in the 2004 Sony Open in Hawaii. Wie has had a rocky career once joining the LPGA tour but still at her young age she has time to mature into one of the many great young players on tour.

Wie is sure to become one of the more followed female golfers as she has matured into a very lovely lady and adds a little sexy to any atmosphere. Im sure many fans of the LPGA look foward to seeing Michelle for years to come.
